With cyclic corrosion testing, the material being tested is cycled through several different environmental cycles. For example, some cyclic corrosion testing includes salt spray, temperature, humidity, or other variables determined by the test standards. A cyclic corrosion test is a testing process that more closely simulates real-world conditions where temperature cycles up and down at various temperatures along with salt spray or salt fog allowing the part to soak for a specific amount of time to discover how corrosion resistance the material is.
